Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties

The Southern Maryland region is comprised of the three counties that traditionally define that region of the state: Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's. This is a region of relatively recent high growth, largely coming from the Washington, D.C., area and/or influenced by the location of military installations in the region.
